Funky Luvs...

Hey folks, glad you stopped in to catch up on the shop happenings...

Just a quick post to show off some new finishes I'm working on.

Gonna be giving away the "pick of the litter" in a contest this week so stay tuned :)

As always, the contest will be limited to only registered followers/readers, so if you want an opportunity, you have a few days to get on board.

cheers,

rody

Man I love the luvs and I need another bar. my main ride has the luv bar and I rode my other bike for the first time in a while and half way through the ride my hand went numb. I did not realize how comfortable they were.

I think I want a ti bar now. I guess I need to get in the cue.

Yes, hi-res please. I've tried rubbing the screen but the picture doesn't get any bigger.

sorry guys, the pic was with my camera phone so it's not the greatest.

The process to create these effects is basically like a tattoo. This is a powdercoat process developed by Decoral systems in Europe, called image sublimation. The process allows any hi-def image to be replicated on a special transfer sheet that is applied to a half cured powder coat of clear or white and then vacuum sealed and finished baking, allowing the ink to dye the powder coat.

the License and equipment for the copyrighted system runs around 120,000 dollars, so I am working with a provider who creates the images for me on the propriatary sheets for my use.

Some of the images take a bit of airbrushing to clean up as the process does not do well around edges/corners, but it's getting better all the time.

So, ever want to have a frame with your face digitized all over it? We can do :)

cheers,

rody

So when I don't win the contest, can I still buy the copperhead bars? They'd look great on my copper colored Redline!
